HD 300 Problems!!!

Hey, I just got this HD 300 and feeling like I shouldnt have trusted this third party crap!

First off, I did ALL the research before buying this thing and know all bout DL the RIGHT firmware, and I got the right one installed, 20.03 FM ON, and its working somewhat.
I also installed the utility knowing that I cant seek for artist, title, etc. without doing the scan.

:argue THE PROBLEM: The files show when I go search under Artist but when I find an artist I then hit ENTER and then I go to the songs of that ARTIST then I hit enter on the song that I like and it doesnt PLAY? It wont respond or play, and a lot of times is jamming up?

I installed the utility from the CD, is the utlity updated from the website? I tried that first but it wouldnt work, but the software from the CD does, it installed but I do have the probs. I mentioned within the player.

Also I have 7 gigs of music, and when I search music in the MUSIC folder only about 1/4 of it shows?

HELP me or this thing is in the box tomm and in a UPS truck going back to seller!

I dont wanna get an IPOD but this companies competeting cant seem to fix something better or at least as stable!

Also, how do I do a reformat? Im thinking of a start fresh and do a reformat and reinstall firmware I will have better luck?


Or the player just maybe a defect..

I really like this player man, the size & the features-- I hope it starts working right, it has great sound too!
