I am in the market for a new Television, nothing too fancy of course, just a CRT. Was looking at a Sony 20-24 inch (posted here) (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=kYNKCeE6zdlKCtzStvRAAq40Lfrq6W1m-Y0=?CatalogCategoryID=&ProductID=FYMKC0%2eNE0AAAADxXcJngL_h&Dept=tv) . I just want a good quality CRT flatscreen, 20-24 inches. What do you guys recommend? Is this one I have picked out, any good?

Why a television so small if you don't mind me asking?
Although that 24" Wega is nice, also look at the Samsung here: http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?eUser=&prod_id=TXM2796HFX%2fXAA
and the Philips here: http://www.philipsusa.com/global/b2c/ce/catalog/subcategory.jhtml;jsessionid=GYMC5FA1TEIZGCRQNAVRY UYKGBUTSHD0?groupId=TV&divId=0&catId=REALFLATTV&subCatId=24_27REALFLATTV
I would recommend buying a television that supports HDTV resolution. Most game consoles support the HDTV resolutions and so will most stations in the next few years.

Speaking of which, I'm in the market for a new TV as well!
As nice as those TV's that you guys posted links to are...I don't think I can afford something like that.
I was thinking of maybe just a 27" regular tube tv. Any suggestions or idea's?
Thanks!

I need a 24inch television because, it is going to ceilingmounted in one of my bedrooms. I have a much better TV in the living room, hehe - Infact I am looking at plasmas, for the entertainment cove, but they are fairly expensive. But I want a 20-14 inch for TV in bed :P

Do you want to support the RIAA ? No, neither do I. By buying sony products you are doing just that. I support artists, not record companies. Oh ya about the TV ...
I would get the Panasonic CT-27D32
You can see the details here.

You can find a price here.

I like my Panasonic TV very much and this is why I would recommend the brand to you.

Last time I checked, Panasonic and Toshiba were ranked best in Consumer reports.
For both Iron and Engineer, make sure that no matter which brand of television you buy, it has component video input at the VERY LEAST. If you can afford spending a little money, buy an HDTV compatible set. Check out eBay to see if you can get some good deals.

Do they even sell TV's without component video input ? That must be like a standard these days. Coax is all but dead with SRGB, component video input and optical in the market. I guess you can't send an video signal with the optical fiber because the electron gun needs an electrical one. Of course you could stick a converter in.
Another vote for Panasonic. Their gears are really reliable and more affordable than a Sony. My TV, LD player, DVD player, VCR and camcorder are all Panasonic. They all still worked flawlessly.
It's too bad their consumer audio gears (under the Technic label) is inferior to Denon / Onkyo / Yamaha. If they make audio gears of comparable performance, I would get that too.
Their video gears are top notch though. I challenge anyone to find a pro-sumer level VCR that can equal their AG-1980 decks. Their LX-900 LD player is a reference player by which the other Japanese players are compared against. And, IMHO, their Tau Superflats TV will hold its own against any other manufacturer, including Sony's Wega.
