Morotola has released their iTunes compatible phone which packs a lot more than just iTunes compatibility. The Motorola E1060 has a whole range of features from Bluetooth technology to 2-way video calling.
This phone will have a fully functional Java based version of Apple iTunes software to let users download whatever songs they see fit. In addition to the iTunes support, users will have the ability to play their own collection of MP3/WMA files and even watch WMV or MPEG4 format videos.
In the imaging department, the E1060 has two integrated VGA cameras. One, a 1.3 megapixel camera with 8x zoom to take pictures, and the other VGA camera to handle 2-way video conferencing.
The device will include a TransFlash media slot which can currently support up to 512 MB of additional storage on top of the built in 32 MB. So either swap your card back and forth from the pc, or use the integrated Bluetooth 2.0 to transfer pictures and MP3's between your phone, PDA, and desktop PC.
Other Features:
• Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) for sharing photos, animations, video and more
• Email and IM with presence indicators
• Downloading via J2ME MIDP 2.0 for adding new MP3 ring tones, screensavers, games and more
• WAP 2.0 browser
Availability
Expect to see the Motorola E1060 in the fourth quarter of this year.
