I am not sure how to put it but here goes.. :dunno

My computer configuration is:

P4 3.0 with HT socket 478
INTEL 865PERL motherboard
160GB HardDrive
AGP 8X Nvidia 32 MB
768 MB DDR dual channel (one 256 running single channel)
Netgear GA311 gigabit ethernet
floppy
dvdrw
cdrw
Windows XP pro

My problem started when I changed my motherboard. I was using P4 socket 423 1.7 GHz processor. My motherboard was giving me problems so I changed it to the above mentioned. I reinstalled/ repaired Windows XP and everything worked fine, until I noticed that my CPU reset the date and time. Like every other day when i BOOT up the date will change to January 1 2002 and time would change to anything from 12.00 am. The BIOS date will go back from the present to January 2002. The computer is also very slow. I checked the connections of the motherboard - everything looked fine and connected as were supposed to be. The startup takes a long time to load all the applications. It happened with the old computer also. I was hoping that the new CPU would help speed up things but no difference.

I have no clue how it happens but I am thinking of formatting the harddrive and starting from scratch.
