BEWARE!!!! SHINZA CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! I purchased a 12 inch ZeroSchock computer sleeve from them via their website. The product was delived quickly and as promised. However, after I was charged $9.25 for shipping, the product arrived with postage $4.80 due. Shinza had only applied $3.95 postage to the container. I thought it would be rather straightforward to get reimbursed, but I was wrong. 3 separate emails over the past 15 days have gone unanswered. Their 800 number has been busy everytime I've called (20 times at least). If you have a problem with Shinza, don't expect to get it resolved. Once they have your money, they no longer care about you as a customer! If they ever get back to me, I will update this posting. Buyer beware!!!!

www.Shinza.com
Unfortunately, they are the only company I could find that sells the ZeroShock laptop sleeves; they are an incredible product!

Hmm well their website is cheesy looking IMO. Sorry you got burned. Report them to the BBB.

Here's something I found that's a possible alternative to the Zeroshock...I think it uses the old squishier material that they used to use to make Zeroshocks:

Not bad looking, although I wish the other images would show up. There was another thread someone in the laptop section that linked to some cool laptop bags/covers. I will see if I can find it.

Linda - I'm in the same boat as you are - I placed my order on 2/6/06 for the 15inch XL sleeve and it says that it's backordered. I haven't received a response from them (6 emails & a bad review). They've already charged my credit card. Did they charge yours too?
Their 877 # is always busy - but here's the number 1-877-804-5563. If anyone else has a better number from an invoice, please let me know.
Here's their address also:
24304 Little Valley Road
Hidden Hills, CA 91302
Thanks!

hi, guys
I'm having the same problem with shinza.
if you have troubles with shinza.com, please file complaints with FTC(Ferderal Trade Commission, www.ftc.gov ) which is a federal regulatory agency for consumer protection and also with BBB (Better Business Bureau, www.labbb.org ) .
Their business info you will need to enter is as below:
address:
24304 Little Valley Road
Hidden Hills, CA 91302
Phone: 1-877-804-5563
I think we should show the terrible shinza our consumers' power and rights granted by law.
Thanks and you have a nice day free from shinza trouble!

yeah, it said mine was backordered too (and they did charge my credit card)
i just tried the number several times and it won't go through either. i'll try again tomorrow and if it doesn't work, i'm gonna try writing to their mailing address. have you written to them yet?

Hi,
Sorry to hear that you have same problem as mine.
I filed an online complaint with Federal Trade Commission, a federal regulatory agency for consumer protection and got first reply from ftc, telling me that the shinza is violating the law and investigation agency will involve.
I placed my order on 2/1/2006 when the item was indicated as in-stock, but a few days later when I checked my order status on that website, it was in backordered status and they already took the money on 2/3/2006 without getting the item ready and shipping it - nonsense- , so I sent messages many many times since mid February about my order status and cancelation.
They have never responded to my messages and seemed like they just ignored my questions and requests.
I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in CA and waiting for their reply.
I think you better not write a letter to shinza because they don't even reply to customer messages received through their built-in "contact-us" link on their website, but never respond, so please file your complaint with FTC and then BBB in CA with the shinza info (address & phone) that I posted before.
We, customers, sometimes need to punish such a jerk fraudulent business entity as shinza that doesn't respect customers as well as normal business practice and law.
Thanks and good luck,

I think at this point I'm going to go ahead and file with the ftc and BBB. My brother said when he ordered, they actually responded to his question - although I think this was before he ordered, and that it took awhile for him to get his case.
As for actually writing to the hard address, I think that the address is a residential address, so whomever is running that location is either an importer who runs this operation out of his backyard or its just a US billing address, since Shinza is an actual company in Japan.
I hope that this works out for the best for everyone, although I'm beginning to think it won't. Let me know if anything happens.
Thanks!

I'm not sure if anyone's received their cases yet, but I was on the Shinza.com website and I noticed that for the 15 in XL Sleeve they changed the status on it to read..."Orders placed today for this case will ship no later than March 31." I am hoping that this means that the other cases ordered previously will be shipped as well...but I'm not holding my breath...

Hi, thanks for your update!
My order is same as yours, 15 inch XL sleeve...ordered on February 1 and still in backordered status....
As you said, if ordered today, they will ship March 31 at the latest, but I still can't even believe it, based on their past business activities with me and other customers for the past few months for similar orders.
Seems like the FTC is still trying to contact the shinza and they suggested me, in the mean time, I should contact with the Attorney General's office in CA - CA is mentioned in their "conditions of use" link, so I guess it's their based state.
Anyway hope everybody who ordered the 15 inch sleeve can get it very soon this month.
Thanks and have a good day,

Our new customer service staff exceeds and pleases every customer who orders with Shinza.com. During a short time in late 2005 and early 2006, Shinza.com grew very rapidly in a matter of months, and thus the customer service response times were unfortunately not been able to keep up with the pace of the growth. If a customer were to attempt contacting our company again, we would do all we could to ease his previous stress.
Shinza.com has added new support staff to our team to address this past shortcoming, and we have met every customer's expectation that our customer service experience is fantastic! We have been *vastly* different going forward and are very pleased with our current level of customer service. We hope that you will be as well! We truly look forward to assisting you in anyway possible. Please call our 800 number when you email Shinza.com as we look forward to answering any questions or concerns!
Best wishes,
Shinza.com Customer Care
