Hello y'all.
i got an IBM thinkpad 600x and i was cleaning the board and fand since it was really dusty, aso when cleaning the area were the CMOS back up battery is, the plug came out, and i plugged back in and now that i want to start my laptop it gives me the errors 161 and 163, i know that 161 is bad cmos battery and that 163 is set date and time, but when it boots up an admin password icon comes out, and i press enter and goes ok but then a green screen comes out with a halt icon (hand with the no circle around it) and says error, and it gives me the 161 and 163 errors. i press enter and it just takes me to a similar screen but this time it has a open book and a arrow pointing at it and the computer halts, and i need to get this computer back to life because all my work's work is in it. :censored .
if any one had this problem and got around to fix it please let me know how. coz the system was working fine before that accident happen. thanks.
