Hi,
I am thinking of buying my first laptop. Due to budget constraints (< GBP 750) its down to either the:
- Travelmate 4051LMi (good processor, great battery time, sucky graphics INTEL 855GME)
OR
- HP ZV5358EA (good processor, probably not so good battery time (< 3 hrs is no good), much better graphics but still not top of the line).
Please help me decide.
Applications i am likely to run (Linux + Windows XP):
- Matlab (frequent)
- ASIC simulation tools (frequent)
- WC3:FT (occasional)
- Quake III (occasional)
- Word/excel/visio.... (frequent)
- movies (DVD) :often: :)
- 3D Studio Max (occasional, just stills no video rendering)
Basically what I want is a good/light machine which allows me to do some gaming and a lot of studies related work with good processing speed and long(ish) battery life.
