The built in 64Mb memory in my SP4270 laptop appears to be damaged and fails all memory tests, although the computer still works OK with a DOS operating system. If I bought a memory module for it, could I get it to use this and disable the damaged built in memory? There doesn't seem to be anything in the BIOS setup to disable or enable banks of memory.
