I recently recieved my free upgrade from O2 in the form of an Motorola Razr V3. All I can say I'm so pleased it was free.

• There is no search function for the phone book beyond the first Letter, a real pain when one has over 700 names.

• The Motorola hands free won't hang up when pressing the remote button no matter if the phone is open or closed. One has to open the phone and press the red button.

• It won't connect to my Mac via Blue tooth, something both Nokia and Sony Ericson have been able to do for sometime.

There are quite a few other niggles, but I risk getting boring.

I would be only too happy for someone to tell me I'm wrong about the above. I've tried contact Motorola and spent much time on their hold line to no avail.

Motorola - NEVER AGAIN

Very similar to the gripes I have with my V400. Moto seem to miss the finer detail that leads to great usability. Sony Ericsson or Nokia for me from now on I think.

WOW, good gripes...

Most of my gripes are against ALL US cell phones...
Looking at whats available in Japan.
I'd also like to see certain features...
MODULAR abilities.. ADD what you want and need.
Add RAM, ram cards for storage and data transfer
Add picture phone
Add Mpeg cam
Add gaming
Add BT or WiFi..
But IF all i want is a GOOd phone, ALL i want is a PHONE...forget the extra STUFF**..

I REALLY miss my old StarTAC. Great design, great voice quality, and survived many drops.

Motorola should re-release the StarTAC for those of us who don't need the "gee-whiz" stuff.
