Need Help With Advent 7017 - Blank Screen! :S

Hi guys, ive had this Advent 7017 for about a year and a half now and just recently the screen has gone completely blank! The pro. still starts up and SOUNDS just as it should but no picture :S Ive tried connecting my desktop's CRT to it but still no joy. Ive thought that maybe it could be the graphics card but im not too sure, and im not really prepared to fork out cash that might not be necessary. Ouch this is a tough one. Can you hear it booting into the OS? I mean like actually here the sounds played by the OS as it enters. Or do you only hear the hardware powering up?

I can only hear the hardware starting up :( Any idea what it might be?

Hi AntiLaptopper,

It sounds bad. It's possible its the battery unit. Many laptops give a blank screen if the battery is crappy.
