Italian and American cosmologists have put forward a theory that will explain away the 'Dark Energy' that was thought to make up 70 percent of the universe.

Until now it has been generally accepted that this mysterious dark force is responsible for driving galaxies apart. It is now being speculated that this dark force itself is a byproduct of the 'Big Bang.'

Antonio Riotto at Italy's National Nuclear Physics Institute in Padova says that if the dark energy were indeed present it would have prevented the existence of everything in the cosmos.

Even Albert Einstein who had incorporated a "cosmological constant," in his famous relativity theory was forced to acknowledge that it was his "greatest blunder," when he discovered that the universe was actually expanding!

Of course the universe is ever expanding. Given that you believe in the BigBang theory, and there is nothing in space to act as a resistant, anything in motion will stay in motion....Damn, I failed Physics and even I know that. heehehe
