MP3 Watch by Timex [Archive]

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen/heard of this before, but i saw it in my "Stuff" magazine. It's an MP3 watch, and it's made by Timex. I really don't have too much info about it, but it looks very interesting, and an idea that I've always wanted to see come about. Anyways, here is the link

Oh to add to this, I'm really not tooo concerned about being able to play mp3's on my watch..it's just the fact that I can use it as portable storage..and I love portable storage... :)

WAY COOL. I hate the colors though. If they made it a Titanium or polished silver color, then I think it would look sweet. 64mb of memory is not bad, but I think they should have seriously put 128mb in it. I also think the watch is kind of large, but I am sure its hard to make a watch with memory in it much smaller. This would be cool to review one.

Yeah it' seems kinda big, and a wider selection of colors would be appreciated as well. But I think that's a great idea carrying around 64MB on your wrist....

But speaking of which, I think I'm in the market for a new watch as well. I was thinking of one of a product from the Helix lineup. Any suggestions or other recommendations? I'd like for my watch to "stand out" as well...Too bad Spoon watches are hard to find..lol

Do you want a sporty watch or something fancy? I just wear a Fossil metal watch, although I have had my eyes on this certain Omega watch for some time .....

Uhm..I've always been the sporty watch type of person, but I'm open for somethin new :) But if it's a metal watch it's gotta look really awsome and do somethin neat..lol

I haven't seen the Omega line up yet..any links? Let me go search for'em real quick...

Just checked out Omega's collection, very sweet. But I think they are too fancy for what I need right now. I saw some that I liked over at www.swatch.com. I'm not sure what I'm gonna get though, or if I'm even gonna get one, lol

Casio also has an mp3 watch as well, any thoughts on this one?

I have owned Fossils before, they are nice watches. I haven't had much use for one recently, but if did buy one in the future it would be a nice metal one. Don't forget that with PCS service we now have acurate clocks on our cell phones.

MP3 in a watch...key word= BATTERIES, and lots of them.

I like my pocket watch. Timex made it, and it has indiglo.
I can press the indiglo with the SAME hand that I pick it up with.

Anybody read the Mars triliogy by Kim Stanley Robinson? They had some cool watches in those books. Kept track of everything they did, interfaced to a remote computer in order to do so, but still, it was like the ultimate tech uber watch.

I sent some thoughts to the Watch makers. About pocket watches.

The data bank watches, Why not make a POCKET watch with these functions, look at the ROOM you have, and a LARGE display.
A full PDA in a Pocket watch.
Wireless interface.

They already have wrist watches with TV remotes, and Data bank, TV's, Walkie talkies, and one thats a Cell phone. Look at the room you have in a Pocket watch.
