It means you won't get any used product for reviewing...
So what will they do with those products? ...just throw tham away..... omg:
Generally, they add to the refurb pile..

It depends on the manufacturer. Sometimes we ge to keep them, other times we have to send it back. And believe it or not we have to buy the products we review a good part of the time!
If we have to send them back, then they are usually just recycled in the sense that when they get them back from one review site, then send em off to another.

do you return some of those that you buy, or do you just keep them or sell them? Must have a pretty decent budget to review some of these things if you don't.

We get a lot of stuff from manufacturers. Sometimes we get to keep them other times they are on loan. We also buy a lot of the stuff we review, and no, we do not return them to the store! That would be unethical.

hehe I guess so... I was approached by www.otterbox.com seeing if I was interested in reviewing their PDA armored boxes, unfortunately the Ranking sites don't review items as we only collect reviews of other web sites, so I added a bunch of their products and reviews to PDA Ranking and wow - I wouldn't mind one of those for my Axim.
That got me thinking about perhaps start a little mini-review site, I got a couple of good domains for it; looking for a nice backend.

I review digital cameras for a website. What I do is to loan them from the camera store owner (who is a close friend). So for me, I can simply send them back :)

now see - thats the perfect way to do it - as long as you are really careful with them.
Ian, do the manufacturers contact you or do you contact them or both?
