I'm an idiot. My HDD120 was synced with my PC, but all the songs on the device were tagged correctly, so I thought I'd delete the whole library from my PC, and transfer the songs from my HDD to the PC...but it says I can only transfer recorded songs!!! Now I've lost my whole library on the PC! Is there any way to transfer all the songs from my HDD?

you could go into the folder "system" in the root of the hdd but it is hidden, then go to music. all the songs are in there but have a different name, although the tags are still correct. all u need to do is copy them to your hard drive and rename the filename of the tracks using software such as a tag renamer (something like that).

I think the HddTool lets you copy your drive contents over and there is an option to rename the files in accordance with their tag info. You can find it here:
