Not what it sounds like..should this be, TRIALS and tribulations of an OLD geek?
I had a P3 450
Asus 5200
3 HD
CD writer
CUSTOMIZED case(I did it, BIG SUCKER 2x what you got)
Customized PS(YEP, I DID it also)

HAD to UPGRADE..
P4 3.0e ghz Intell, dual pipline
Asus p4p800e-delux mobo
Asus 5200 Video
ANTIC case and PS 3000B/Neo480 PS..
Plextor 708a(GIFT) DVD writer..

NOW, I didnt WANT to Format and start over
So I forced the system to take the OLD configuration, and that isnt a nice thing. So i will have to format in the future as windows didnt install certain abilities for this MOBO.
This CASE SUCKS.
The Original case fan is On back, below the PS and SUCKS the air out..
Had to reverse that, as NO air was getting to the PS, to blow out the HEAT in the top of the machine.
CASE FANS..
The NEO480/PS has its OWN channel for controlling FANS, TO SLOW to change speed, so I bypassed that to direct to the PS.
The FAN in the PS wasnt getting faster then 1000RPM, company says it should be 1200 until PS gets to 45c/120f and then BOOST up...NEW PS will be coming soon.
CASE...
Has AIR holes on bottom SIDE, LOW on the case, WHY?? It lets COLD air out, Hot air is still on top of case...COVER them up...Works good. Been NEET if they had put FAN on inside of holes to blow over the Board/PCI Slots..
Video card needed A fan, as the first one was only 1/4 tall, so had to add FAN and SYNC...Much better.
Added FRONT case fan, has a slot for it, and tied to REAR fan...LOTS of air..

WElllllll, my friend bought it off Ebay, and saved about $20+. Seens it wont recognise BLANK media. Even pre-written media has a problem MOST times. So, am looking to get reciept to show it was purchased from a major company to get an RMA.

WELl with 2 RMA, and some FUN reconfigs in hardware and some future WINDOWS configs, its still running..
