Hey, so here is my problem. I took my laptop to a shop today and they didn't know what to say and told me to call Toshiba. I wanted to know if any of you have had this problem before I pursue something that may cost me money.

The fans on my laptop prior to the one year mark of me having it (almost to the day) near Christmas worked like normal laptop fans, they were always running but were very quite and didn't bother me one bit. Then around Christimas (the one year mark of me having this) they started running only on high. So for the last 3 months they have only been going on high and then off. They no longer run on the low mode. When I turn on the computer and start using it the fans don't even run. It isn't until it has been on for about 45 seconds that the fans come on and they only run on high which is annoying. Then, after about 5-10 seconds they stop and the whole process repeats itself. As you can imagine it is really annoying having to listen to this. I have tried dusting the fans out but that didn't help at all. Have any of you faced this problem and have any advice before I take it to the toshiba place to see if they can help? I have heard of other people that have had this problem but never heard of how they fixed it.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hello,

I did some checking for you. It seems many people have this loud fan noise problem on the Toshiba. Check out this CNET discussion (http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7587-0.html?forumID=69&threadID=55914&messageID=666083) for more details.
