I have had my Phillips HDD 120 since Christmas and i am very pleased with it. There is one problem, I had to load all my saved mp3's on it from my PC (1000+) as there was a fault with the PC and it had to be reinstalled. I don't know how to download them back onto the PC now. Is there a bit of software/upgrade floating about out there that someone point me in the right direction for please? Thank you

you could copy all the tracks from the hdd by looking on the folder called "system" which is hidden on the hdd (when in explorer) and opening the folder called "music".
all of the tracks are in there but have different names such as 12gkf.mp3, something like that.
well all you need to do is copy the lot of them and paste them into your hard drive, once all of them are copied use an mp3 tag renamer to rename all the tracks.

another way would be to use solons hddtool this can copy all the tracks to computer, but i am not sure if it can rename the tracks.

hope this helps.

If you want to rename them after, i use CD N GO suite - type that into google and you'll find the website. It can rename files from the ID3 tags.

You can use a program this guy wrote to do what you want...copy files back to you PC from the Philips. Its called HDD EasyCopy. I hope you're running XP because it is a MS .Net Framework program (XP only) and it must be installed on your pc for Easycopy to run. Works great!

You can download it here...
http://dawuss.student.utwente.nl/~public1/

Read the instructions carefully but they are short...

What will the program do/not do?
This program will let you copy music from you Philips HDD100 or HDD120 to your local harddrive. You can put this program on your HDD100/HDD120 and copy music to every computer you connect to.
This program is not a replacement for the Philips DRM software. It will not copy files to your device. (I am working on a version now which can).

What are the requirements?
A HDD100/HDD120 compatible PC (see the Philips website). You'll also need the .NET Framework installed, you can find it here. (I recommend that you place the .NET Framework on you device so you can install it from there.)
