Hi,
I am a (forced) convert to this device after having an RCA lyra 40 gig player for a year. Although it was bulky, it was pretty straightforward in terms of navigation.
I have encountered these issues in using the HD300. Please let me know if you have insight into dealing with the issues...
1. The is no Artist/Album directory, only Artist OR Album. So, if i have multiple albums by the same artist, i have to scroll through all the files of that artist to find the album (unless i remember the Album title, which is hard for the multitude of live concerts i have). The RCA had an Artist/Album selection, which listed all the albums of the artist.
2. When i am playing a song and i want to select another by the same artist, i press Menu, but that brings me all the way back to the root Menu, from which i have to navigate all the way back to the Artist folder. Shouldn't i be able to just step back to the Artist, rather than having to start all over for every song change?
3. There is a 2 second gap between EVERY song, even if the machine is just playing through a playlist. Annoying, especially for continuous albums, like live concerts.
Does anyone have insight into dealing with these issues, or do i just have to hope that they are resolved in a new Firmware update?
