I've read that many people are having problems with Sony Connect program. I'm interest in the NW-HD3 and I'm thinking is there any other programs I can use besides Connect? I'm not DL any ATRAC songs, I'll be importing my CD collection. Also what bit rate should I be ripping the MP3's at?
Thanks

Hmm good question. You might be able to drag and drop the files treating the MP3 player like a hard drive. I record all of my MP3's at 192kbps although you can go to a higher bit rate and they might sound a little better, although it would be hard to tell the difference.
Chances are that you will be stuck using Sony's software unfortunately.
BTW, welcome to the Designtechnica forums!

The Sony Connect program is proprietary and it wraps your songs with DRM (Digital Rights Management) - so if you are trying to import illegal MP3s, that will be a problem.
