I've heard some pretty bad things about the older Sony Vaio but I'm wondering how are the new models? With Media Center OS would I be able to load MS Office 03?

media center os is the same as XP Home, except it also comes with the media center software and some wmv encoding tools. You can run whatever software that will also work on XP Home.

I can't speak about the Vaio's, but we have reviewed some newer ones and they have done well.

This particular Vaio desktop is a multimedia machine. It has Firewire support for editing camcorder video, a DVD writer for making high-quality DVDs. You have powerful Serial ATA hard drives in RAID 0 configuration, as well as PCI Express 16x graphics. Add to that Intel hyperthreading processor technology, and we have one fast and powerful machine. :cool:
