Hi There

We have a Toshiba laptop that when supplied had no anti virus or office software. I purchased Norton and installed, once installed I went online to download the updates and the computer immediatly got hit with some trojan virus's. I have cleaned these off and fixed up other spyware issues but the computer is still runnning slow.

I am not a computer buff and would appreciate any help as to where to start looking for problems. With the spyware issues I provided copies of hijack this logs and this has sorted that out. Are there things I can look at in regards to this problem.

if anyone can help or simply point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

kind regards

The other thing to do is check if you've any programs loaded in the Startup folder. Go to Start -> Programs -> Startup, then delete any shortcuts to programs you don't need to run at startup.

Could I ask how much RAM you're using? If you're running Windows XP, you need at least 512MB of RAM.
