Anyone ever use this or have had any experience with it? I've had it for a couple months, but have not gotten around to installing/playing around with it. I'm planning to do it next week right before school starts.
I've read all the reviews and compared it to other products, just wanted to see what your opinions on this were and if you had any suggestions/tips
Thanks!

I have not used PC Anywhere but I have used VNC and its very cool.

VNC is cheap...FREE and does the same thing from my understanding of PC Anywhere.

When I was an IT Analyst for Lockheed Martin, we used PCA and I liked it a lot. I think PCA has a lot more options that most programs of this nature. However there is something else to consider. There are multiple programs out there that will let you access your home computer through your web browser versus dialing in or using PCA. So no matter where you are located you can have access to your home system. i will try and find some links for you when I get time.

VNC is very cool. PCA seems to carry more overhead and isn't as efficient as VNC. PCA is fun as well.

Cool! I'm definately gonna hafta try out this VNC and read up on it. So you guys have used it before? Works fairly well? Does it support dial up/broadband? And this is free?!?

Thanks!

VNC is IP based. So dialup-broadband, doesn't matter. It works.

Yes, vnc will work over what ever connection you are on, its extremely lightweight, and easy to use.

Put it this way, when a dev on a different floor wants to look at my machine, I just run vnc.

Thanks for everyones help! We did try VNC and I still might use it, but it looks like we're sticking with PCAnywhere for now.
But VNC does seem to run with less overhead and is definately lightweight!

Another vote for VNC. Not as friendly as PCAnywhere, but it's free.

I would consider 1 thing..
PCA/VNC on a computer connected to the NET... UNLESS you can LOCK this program down, may lead to Vulnerabilities on your machine... PASSWORD it, set it NOT to start on comp startup..
