This mega changer provides progressive scan video output and includes an array of patented video processing circuits developed by world-famous Faroudja to remove jagged “staircase” effects that can degrade picture quality while enhancing subtle details and colors for near film-like picture quality. The DV-5900M has built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoders and includes internal digital bass management for DVD-audio playback.
Another nice feature of the changer is the Kenwood’s unique Rental Zone with complete separate Play and Eject controls for each disc, allowing easy insertion and removal of up to three discs without disturbing the permanently-housed collection. It also includes RS-232 interface, dual side play, daisy chain capability (up to three can be linked), and an infrared keyboard for convenience and easy intergration.
The DV-5900M is scheduled to be available starting this month with retail price $1800.
