If you understand this article, you should be VERY Afraid..
We are talking about BILLIONS of dollors for spyware..
Not withstanding that they Log your data, and where you wonder AROUND the net, or that they LAG you machine. This is the second MOST bandwidth intencive use of the internet, after SPAM.
This is like haveing a phone, and every 2-3 minutes someone breaks into the call and gives you an advertisment..

That is deeply disturbing.
Lately, it feels as though the Internet is slowly disintegrating into a sort of digital slum. 88% of computers infected within one quarter is completely unacceptable!
I think that until we target the people who are behind this phenomonon it will continue to destroy the world wide web. As nice as it is running a spyware removal board like this, the spyware perpetrators have an easy time staying a step ahead of you. It makes my blood boil.
Well, I'm off to make some humiliating calls to Delfin Media Viewer, Inc (PromulGate).

Ive seen some pretty bad spywares on here since I started cleaning logs. That dddd.exe infection was bad. I'm glad its under control now. The latest one I've come across now doesnt appear on the HijackThis log.
I need to check out some of these new programs that are shown on the article ECA pointed out to us (A Good Read) Maybe they can remove some of this stuff.
Its hard to tell what works, when you aint got the bug..

And, ironically enough, it can be remarkably difficult to catch the bug if you actually want it.
I wouldnt say that, I know a GREAt place to catch them...IF you REALLY want them.

Alright, I'll concede that it's easy to catch any old malware - just go to any one of a medley of shadowy sites. I have learned from experience, though, that it can be amazingly hard to catch a particular bug - and even harder to catch a particular *version* of a particular bug. It can drive you right up the wall. ECA, if you know a location where this is easily accomplished, I would be more than happy if you could PM it to me.
There used to be a Cheat site..
Called Spyder, that let you search ALOT of other sites..
That site was a NIGHTMARE.
After you jumped to the other site there were ALOT of popups, and infections..
I cant seem to find it anymore..
