Hey guys, I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help me... I succumbed to the evils of Elite toolbar earlier and have spent ages getting the program EliteToolbar Remover installed,

finally get it going in safe mode and attempt to "Kill" the bugger and I get an error message "runtime error 5 invalid procedure call/argument"

:dunno :censored

If anyone knows what i can do to get rid of this error, or even if the Elite Toolbar Remover prog does actually work, i'd be very grateful...

(Im a bit of an amateur/novice and don't have my computer expert (compared to me anyhow)of a flatmate here at the moment to help me!)

Cheers guys! :)

Thankfully I managed to rid myself of the B*STARD Elite Toolbar this morning. Just running Spybot search n Destroy to check i dont have any more of this crap.

I used Elite Toolbar Remover which i found after googling ... the address:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popup-Ad-Spyware-Blockers/EliteToolbar-Remover.shtml

hope that helps someone else out, cos this sodding thing is so f*cking annoying!!

What really pissed me off was the way that every now and again you get a pop up saying something to the effect of "Your computer may be infected with spyware, click here to check" which is blatantly appearing as a result of the stupid elite toolbar rubbish. AAAAAAAARGH!

anyway its fixed now... (fingers crossed)...takes deep breath....

Elite Toolbar installs itself without user permission, changes browser's home page and settings. Remove Elite Toolbar (http://www.spyware-removal-guideline.com/elite-toolbar-removal) from your machine as soon as possible!
