AZESearch Removal - I'm clueless

Hi

I've been infected with AZESearch. I have been reading through the forums etc on how to remove it. It all appears to be very complicated.

I have no experience dealing with registeries, dll files and the like. Could someone help me remove this and explain it so I can follow.

I have also downloaded Spybot and Adware but that didn't get rid of the toolbar. Now my desktop has this big Warning you are in danger background.

Reboot To Safe Mode (tap F8 on Startup)

Delete these Files and or Folders

Still In Safe Mode Delete all Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Run CW Shredder, AdAware and Spybot,delete what they find , Empty recycle bin.

Hi Nightowl.

I had already gotten rid of Antivirusgold by deleting the program folders. However I have done all the other instructions. Only the two 04 commands did not show up. However I see the winnook.exe until now....

Howdy

When I first followed your instructions I did so under Administrator. I reentered under my login and did the instructions again. Hopefully all of it is gone.

It appears to be gone from my browser. ALthough Google Toolbar is gone too.

Do I need to delete any system backups or log backups?
