WELL,
you can get an adaptor to play threw FM..Even one to play threw the cassette player.
EVEN, If you have AUDIO INPUTS, as most do for an extended CD Player, ADD it to those connections.

I have a cassette deck in my car and use a cassette adapter to play my hdd & other devices through my car stereo.

I also have an FM transmitter to broadcast on an unused frequency.

As far as consistent quality goes, the cassette adapter sounds better and it doesn't require a power supply.

Ideally, I would prefer a direct line-in to the stereo but the cassette adapter is good for now.

ALOt of the newer(last 5-7 years) radios have an AUDIO input/AUX play/CD play..
With them extended(if needed) you could go from the Headphone jack, to RCA(?) and have direct inputs..
Myself I would NEVER leave the device in the car.. This would give you the ability to remove and go..
