Reboot To Safe Mode (tap F8 on Startup)


Delete these Files and or Folders

Still In Safe Mode Open up Hijack This and Place a check next to each of these and click Fix Checked.

Still In Safe Mode Delete all Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Run CW Shredder, AdAware and Spybot,delete what they find , Empty recycle bin.

Then Reboot to normal mode and post a new log..........Jim

Thanks so much for your help. I was unable to delete one file b/c it said something about not having access or something. I know there is another way to delete it, but alas, I am an Aggie and I forgot!! Jen

Were you in Safe Mode when you deleted these? If your not in Safe Mode alot of these will reload.

Let me take another look.

Reboot To Safe Mode (tap F8 on Startup)


Delete these Files and or Folders

Still In Safe Mode Open up Hijack This and Place a check next to each of these and click Fix Checked.

1. Reboot to Safe Mode
2. Open Up Hijack This
3. Click the Do A System Scan Only Button
4. Click the Config button on the bottom right corner
5. Click Misc Tools on the top right

6.Click Delete File on Reboot button and a box should open up.
Find the file nail.exe then click the open button. A window will ask you if you want to reboot now click no.

7.Find the file SvcProc.exe then click the open button. A window will ask you if you want to reboot now click yes.

8. Reboot to normal mode and post a new log........Jim

Something caused these to reload.We were doing ok for awhile.I think I missed one(In Red), maybe thats why it reloaded. Do you have any antiVirus Programs, If not download AVG AntiVirus and Microsoft AntiSpyware.

Reboot To Safe Mode (tap F8 on Startup)

Delete these Files and or Folders

Still In Safe Mode Delete all Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Run Your Anti Virus Program. delete or quarantine what it finds , Run Microsoft AntiSpyware Empty recycle bin.

I believe the three problems here are worms. One has been killed although it still shows on your log with a missing file.

We will be using HijackThis in a different way now. You may want to print this out.

1. Reboot to Safe Mode
2. Open Up Hijack This
3. Click the Do A System Scan Only Button
4. Click the Config button on the bottom right corner
5. Click Misc Tools on the top right

6.Click Delete File on Reboot button and a box should open up.
Find the file uvpzmp.exe then click the open button. A window will ask you if you want to reboot now click yes

7. Reboot to normal mode and post a new log........Jim
