What kind of music is that exactly? I heard one or two of his songs and can't quite put it in it's place... Is it folk, or pop, some kind of alternative or what?

Beck is one of those performers that eludes easy classification. You could just say he is "alternative" but using the "alternative" moniker means absolutely nothing in my opinion. For the last ten years I've been asking, "Alternative to f***ing what?"

I'd put him in the same category as Cake... another band that has its own unique blend of lunacy.
