i've had this hdd for about6 months or so i just reached the memory limit on it while i was transferring music and the message came up on the pc that the file could not transfer which i understand as there is no more memory on it.
my problem is that now when i switch the hdd on it says that there is no tracks at all on it when i connect it to the pc it says there is no tracks on it but it is 99% full.
how can that be?
can anybody help please?

There is an old standard for ANY Hard drive.
10% rule...ALWAYS leave 10% of the drive free.
there are a few reasons for this.

CACHING..storing extra data on the drive. To run itself, it may need some room on the drive to RUN the hardware programs..Or even to store the Music AHEAD of it being played.
OVERRUN..Old problem still hasnt been fixed, the drive overruns the size of the HD, and writes at the beginning of the drive, corrupting the WHOLE drive.

See if you can remove a few of the programs, or you may have to FORMAT and start over.
