hahah Spankers thats too funny! Is that your only car? At least those Subaru Boxter engines are reliable!

It's my only car... I refuse to buy new cars anymore... you take it right up the backside as soon as you drive a new car off the lot. This is my alternate transportation (and probably more suitable for the quarter mile). I'm more than likely going to sell it prior to the move to Seattle though.

At least those Subaru Boxter engines are reliable! 350,000+ miles is common on the 2.2 liter Subaru's, which is the reason I did the conversion in the first place. The stock VW "waterboxer" engine was possibly the worst engine VW ever made. After 70,000 miles the head/cylinder mating surfaces start to corrode and combustion gases start blowing into the cooling system... causing antifreeze to puke out of the overflow tank. Bad, bad, bad.

I really didn't know what I was getting myself into with the conversion. I did all the work myself and have spent about 200 hours on the project. I hope it's worth it.

Oh... and the fun part of the van project is coming after the move. I'm going to install a mini-ITX computer, a 7" touchscreen, GPS, multiple 802.11g wireless interfaces (for wardriving and internet access on trips), and a hacked XM radio receiver (with USB interface). The computer/touchscreen will function as a mp3 & video player (hooked into the JBL amp), radio, and navigation system.... using Linux, of course!

ooooh sweet bike! Maybe you are more hip than I thought :)

Ducati's are sweet rides, my dad owns 3 bikes, 2 Kawasaki's and a Honda and would love to own a Ducati.

How tall is he? 5'11" is max for the M900. 900SS & 916 (996, 999) can accommodate taller.

My height, 5'10.

Is there an age limit too? :)

Nope... I've seen guys in their mid to late fifties riding Ducati's... in their living room, making funny motorcycle noises. ;)
