Help with Search42/Winfixer/Virus

Can somebody help with my log? Recently there are a lot of pop-ups of winfixer and some search 42. I tried to eliminate them using spybot and adware, but failed. I did a scan with trend micro as well and found a virus in the form of the file iplog.dll but could not find any ways to clean or delete it as the system is "using" the file. Please help! Thanks.

Do you have a Spyware program called PC Shield? If so delete it. Its a bogus Spyware program.

Still In Safe Mode Delete all Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Run Microsoft AntiSpyware, AdAware and Spybot,delete what they find , Empty recycle bin.

Plug the internet back in and Reboot to normal mode and post a new log..........Jim

Yes olehard.dll is a trojan and most likely your problem. Lets try to kill it in a different way

Here is the path to find it. Looks like its in the printers folder

C:\WINDOWS\Web\printers\olehard.dll

We will be using HijackThis in a different way now. You may want to print this out.

1. Reboot to Safe Mode
2. Open Up Hijack This
3. Click the Do A System Scan Only Button
4. Click the Config button on the bottom right corner
5. Click Misc Tools on the top right

6.Click Delete File on Reboot button and a box should open up.
Find the file olehard.dll then click the open button. A window will ask you if you want to reboot now click yes

7. Reboot to normal mode and post a new log........Jim

Jim, it turned out that I cant find the find "olehard.dll" at the specific folder. I did a search as well and nothing came up, but it is still seen in the log. Remember in my first post i told u there is a virus in the form of the name "iplog.dll"? I think its the same virus that has the ability to rename itself, and hide it. Any other ways to delete it?

Post a new log, Do you have any antivirus programs? If not download and run AVG Antivirus. See if it comes up with something.

Were there any strange files in the printers folder? If you see something strange post the name of it here.

Jim here is the log. Its pretty much the same. I downloaded AVG and detected some viruses, and deleted them. The olehard.dll file is still shown on the log though i cant find it in the folder or anywhere. There weren't any stranger files in the printer folder as well.

I did some research on the file olehard.dll and found nothing so i decided to research O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - and I think I found something.

From what I'm reading on these 2 webpages the dll name is different on every computer which explains why I couldnt find any info on the file.

Take a look on these 2 webpages. You may be able to kill this thing following the directions shown on these pages.
