Steve Jobs told Stanford University graduates Sunday that dropping out of college was one of the best decisions he ever made because it forced him to be innovative -- even when it came to finding enough money for dinner.
Jobs is a weirdo sometimes.
i like how some grads dressed up as ipods.
I think Jobs needs to be more humble??

I laughed when I saw this...here he is telling a bunch of grads to drop out of college. Isn't he a little to late.
And in today's world having a degree is so important to just stay in the middle class!! What do you think..is college important to get ahead in today's world??

I think its important. In an economy that is prone to ship jobs overseas, and with announcements from companies like GM (who just laid-off 25K employees), a college degree will give you that edge. Just do not get a degree thats computer related! Economics, Finance, Business degrees will treat you well.

I completely agree about not getting a degree in that is computer related.
I read an article in the paper this morning saying that less kids are moving away from jobs in programming to ones that are less likely to be shipped overseas, like consulting or other business fields. I thought it was interesting because it described me less than a year ago.

I read that article too, it was on CNN and Yahoo! News. I just think Steve Jobs is odd, he clearly didn't think his speech through, or maybe he did - thats even more disturbing!

I guess this is what you get when you work for a company that prides itself on thinking outside the box.
What box?? He is to rich to even THINK about a box.
