Philips HDD 120 - unable to access playlists

Please Please Please, can some help me? I have an HDD 120, which in the main I find excellent. However, I am unable to create playlists or access playlists created on DMM. If I select the playlist option, the player freezes. If try and create a new playlist, the screen says the new playlist is called playlist_003, but when I play a track and select add to playlist - the player freezes again!!!
Its driving me crazy and no matter what I try it persists. I am running v6.6 firmware.

It may be that one of the songs contained in the playlist is problematic. Make sure they have ID3 tags at least. And try making a playlist with like 1 song that you know works.
