Fast forwarding on HDD100?

Is there any way to fast forward through a track on an HDD100? As it is very hard to listen to an audio book otherwise.
Also, what is the newest firmware available?

hold the next/previous track button. either half press and hold it there or instant full press and hold. Be carefull not to half press, then full press as it will skip track.
