I hurt. There is a reason you don't go out as much as you get older.
The Flametrick Subs (http://www.flametricksubs.com/) played in Fort Worth last night with the Satan's Cheerleaders (http://www.satanscheerleaders.com/start_frames.htm) providing sideshow entertainment... and I was not let down by the performance. They came on at midnight and played until 2 A.M. ... complete with vinyl clad booty shakin' courtesy of the nice girls in Squad 666.
The Subs blend psychobilly, high speed rock & roll, and attitude with some unique humor and story telling. They don't make it out of Texas much and will never be a commercial success, but if you have the opportunity to catch a show, do it. I've been going to their shows for the last eight years and still have more fun watching their antics than any other live band I've seen (I saw them open one time for the Reverend Horton Heat... and I was quite let down when the Reverend started playing. Horton Heat wasn't nearly as much fun).
Their CD's are OK... but this is a band to see live. If you get the opportunity, see these guys. If nothing else, it will probably be the only time you'll see a one handed upright bass player (and he is badass!).
