I'm still having problems figuring out the playlists and folders on my unit.

I'm getting a weird issue even with the generated plalist files from the MPIO utility.
EG: I go into Music - Albums - select one from the list - All tracks are shown, I select one and it takes me to the Now Playing area and tells me all the right info (EG 001/014 and so on) and starts playing the 1st song. However, it only seems to be able to play the first 6 tracks and then stops. If I try to jump past the track, unit hangs for a short time and tehn returns to track 1 of the playlist.

If you create your own folders, where should you put them and should they come up in the navigation?

Should I avoid using the MPIO utility?

Any specific way I should be creating playlists?

If anyone could give me a bit of a step by step, I would greatly appreciate. I really just want to create playlists of 256 songs or less that I can have some faith in.

Thanks.

How many other files are in the directory with the files in the playlist?
What happens when you try to play the playlist in Winamp or Windows Media Player?

Put all directories in the Music Folder.

I'm still using it just to generate the playlist. But then I move the files do another Playlist directory I created in the music folder, because I have more than 256 playlists for my artists.

Let the MPIO Utility do it, but you can also make playlist with Winamp or Windows Media Player if you'd like to make customized playlist.

You can have as many songs as you want in a Playlist, just don't have more than 256 playlist files in the same directory.

MrTNT - Thank you.

It all makes sense now.

It still sucks that MPIO have the 256 song limitation, but at least now I can go
around it.

Thanks again.
