want a new show!

as of press time, what's the TV mini-series that's worth watching expect of course for 24, Alias and Lost? these three are great shows but i want something new. :)

For science fiction fans, Battle Star Galactica (http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/) ain't half bad. Normally the acting on scifi shows ranges from mediocre to absolutely putrid (and I'm being generous), but the SciFi channel has managed to retain decent writers, director, and actors. Instead of 99 percent CGI special effects, the direction of this show runs more toward character development. Good stuff and in my opinion, the best show on the SciFi channel.

I am with you there on the frustration over TV...I'm sick of all the stupid reality shows with people on them who are just annoying. It should say something about the state of TV when a show about ballroom dancing becomes the "Hit" of the summer.

I am so glad that at least Empire and Into the West are on...I'm enjoying these two mini-series. At least it something besides re-runs and reality. I will be glad when the fall season starts again.

What I hate, is that ALL of them are trying to do what 1-2 shows did.
Some of these shows are just STUPID..
Want to be a Hilton, ranks up there real high.

Id rather watch some of the OLD good shows again, then this crap.

I with you there on the Hilton show and now CBS has a similar show to American Idol but with a band...and now Fox is doing American Idol but for dancin. STUPID!!!

I kinda like Hells kitchen since the head chef just tears these people apart. Also nothing else to watch on Mon nights

yeah, these reality shows are becoming so annoying - same concepts. have you seen an episode of The Assistant in MTV? a new concept but i dunno if it actually makes sense to look for an assistant - a personal assistant - through a reality show. :crazy

I really liked it when it first came out, but now if I have a choice between watching Survivor and something else I like I go with somthing else. I'm sick of Survivor (as well as other shows) casting the sterotypical person to represent their "group" just to try to stir things up to make it interesting.

You could be right about it being over... ever since the dude from Fear Factor took over as host, I stopped watching.

Whereas the show struck a balance between celebrating masculinity and lightheartedly mocking machismo during the Kimmel-Carolla era, The Man Show under Rogan and Stanhope is a raunchy, coarse affair that lost much of the earlier show's tongue-in-cheek attitude in favor of lewd sexual humor. It was cancelled after two seasons.

Cancelled after 2004 season. Go figure... I think Joe Rogan sucks.

I never got into this show...I guess watching people eat bugs and other disgusting things is not exciting to me. I have a pretty strong stomach, but some it the stuff makes me cringe.
