Has anyone tried Sylpheed Claws (http://claws.sylpheed.org/index.php) as an email client. I have been using it for about two years and am VERY impressed. It has GREAT filtering rules and good support for PGP. If you are running a GTK2 based desktop environment it spanks Balsa's bum!
Evolution? Pure pork.
The screenshots on the Sylpheed website are GTK1 so here's my GTK2 client:
Can't say that I have. I dont use linux that way (for normal client stuff.) I just use mine for apache/mysql

Using Linux for the desktop isn't all chocolate and roses, but to me it is a hell of a lot more powerful and accessable than Windows... plus you have the advantage of common operating systems across your network. Server/headless box for ripping, wireless access point (I've built my own 802.11g), and desktop... it's all the same.
My Audiotron (http://www.turtlebeach.com/site/products/audiotron/producthome.asp) is the next network appliance to be replaced. I intend to replace it with a media player/server based on something like the Hush Technologies (http://www.hushtechnologies.net/) mini-ITX extended systems. If I do it right I should be able to integrate most of my home network server functions in one box. We'll see.
