"With a see through window and colored front door it's a much more current look for Lian Li. The appearance might have changed; however, you can expect the same quality and performance with this product." ~3dGameMan.com

Does anyone have this case? I am planning on buying a new case, and this is one of the ones I have been looking at. How is the cooling in it really. I have 3 fans in my current one, and it still gets darn hot.

What sort of price range are you trying to stay in? This case is actually pretty old, so you may be able to get a newer case depending on your budget.

preferable in the sub $100 range...I had looked at a wide range tho. I am doing a slow upgrade of my wholse system, and just dropped a ton of dough on a motherboard and cpu. The case looked nice, and it seemed like it had good cooling. any suggestions?

I have seen that one before. Man, that is a lovely case. However, it looks like it has just two fans. Need more cooling then that. hmmmm.

You could always just buy a couple more fans and slap them in. Fans are pretty inexpensive.

well thats true...How important for cooling do you think a side fan is? or would a couple of front and back offer similer cooling?

You could always try the fans that come with it and then add more if you need to. If you will be putting in a new high-end video card, then you probably will want more cooling in the system.

I am running a 500w power supply, a Radeon 9800 pro 256, an AMD 64. That all puts out some serious heat. In my current old case, I have to leave the side off and keep a small desk fan on it to keep the heat down. Crazy I know. I need something that will let me seal my case back up and keep it from overheating. And I really dont want to mess with water cooling or that kind of stuff. I understand that just having an aluminum case will help alot, but, I want all I can get in the way of fans.
I really am curious if anyone out there has used a case with a side fan. If so, did you notice a signifigantly better cooling, then with just front and rear. Is a side fan a big deal, and a important feature, or just something that doesnt really matter?

Ah, then yes I recommend some more cooling. I have a Pentium 4 Prescott 2.8GHz, Nvidia 6800 and 1GB of memory in my system and I have two rear fans for an exhaust and one fan in the front, and my system seems to do fine. Oh and I have a 550-Watt Antec PSU.

hmm. Ok, so three Fans. All 8mm, or do you have 12mm? Also, what, in your view is the beifit of having a side case fan? Is it for anything more then looks.
I am currious, what case are you useing?

Well I don't know if you need a side fan, I am not using one. A regular 20mm fan should work for you. I have a Chieftec case.
