i have an xm ready hook up cd player and i am trying to hook up an amp to it and when i plug the RCA cords in the amp and in the back of the cd player it seems like the amp is not getting any sound then i checked the diagram and it says audio in does that mean that i cant hook an amp to it?
Thank you

Audio IN, is on the AMP...
AUDIO, headphone, OUT put...is what you are looking for.
Set the amp to the position needed, AUX IN, is probably right.
Then slowly turn up the volume on the IPOD, and balance that with the AMP output(speakers).

Where does he mention an iPod?
You want preamp inputs on the back of your CD player deck, not audio in. Audio in would be for another sound source. All an amp does is amplify the sound to your speakers.
well,
He is trying to use the XM READY radio, Audio ouput, RCA, to an AMP..
Sorry, mis-read it. And I dont know if the RCA is for the XM.
As we are not there..Why do you want an AMP? Are you adding other or better speakers?
Tell us the model of the radio, and the AMP..
