Just picked one of these up from eBAY. So far I am pretty happy with it. Although the manual and phone is in German, as soon as I entered my SIM card, it switched over to English right away which is nice.
I am using the Mobile Tools with Bluetooth for syncing my contacts and calender with Outlook. At first I thought this was a little tough, but I really got the hang of it. If anyone has any questions let me know.
Phone reception is way better an the V600 and MPx200 phones I was messing with. I actually get full reception throughout the house where I didn't with the other phones.
Let me know if anyone has any questions!

I've got the V620 myself, and I love it
Congratulations, it's a great phone! I love what can be done with it, all the software alterations, I mean. You can end up with all the different features and upgrades from what the phone originally had! Hope you enyoj it!

Thats actually one of the reasons I bought it, for the reception. My MPx200 reception was terrible. I don't care if this has an antenna as long as the thing works! And a flash card slot and Bluetooth make the whole things sweeter.

I recently purchased the 635 and you're right, it's an AWESOME phone! Only problem I'm having is getting the correct settings to use the email feature. Everytime I click "send email" it tells me "email not setup". I got the setings from T-Mobile, but I think they're incorrect. Also , I can receive emails...which is strange, but I only get headers. I don't get the body of the message. T-Mobile said they can't help me any further. Told me Motorola would be able to help me. Called them 3 times. They said THEY can't help me either. By the way...I setup T-Zones already.

Do you have the mobile phone tools software? That is what I am using for synching and setting up everything.

Yes I do. It has email settings on that?

Yup, total e-mail setup. You can tell it to only download the headers (which it sounds like you have it setup that way) or the full e-mail message. Make sure you update mobile phone tools to the latest version. I am using version 3.25b

Ok, got email up and runnin'....just one "small" thing...when I try to send email it says "unable to send will try later"...I'm thinking it's something in the settings...but I can now receive email fine...any clues???

I think its your outgoing server settings. If you use Outlook on your desktop system, make sure your outgoing settings are the same on your phone. Did you try the Motorola Mobile Tools software?

And you are using T-Mobile right?
Under outgoing SMTP server, checkmark "use the same login as the incoming mail server". I bet that fixes this.

Ok...let me make sure I have this straight. The settings I just listed are on the phone itself. This is not thru the software on the computer. Now...where on the phone did you want me to insert the login you previously mentioned?

Yeah here is a link to the software: http://www.bvrp.com/customers/motorola/upgrade/US/
With the software you will be able to program your phone from your desktop and then just transfer over the settings.

Anything that installs on the regular V600 should work on this phone from my understanding.

How do u "enable" the mp3 player on the v635? When I check the status of the mp3 player it asks "mp3 ready?" then says "no". I've been able to get most of the features working except that one.

thats weird, mine never had a problem, just go to main menu then games and apps and click on mp3 player, it might take a lil bit to load but it has to work, i didnt do anything special on mine to get it to work.
