These are powered (transformer plugged in the back or batteries) speakers??
Find something else to plug them into, for sound...A radio, the computer, CD player..something..

They should be powered..
The ourput fromyour computer isnt strong, and it makes for better sound..
And there REALLY isnt much voltage to the other items EITHER...

If they are NONpowered speakers, and you get no sound, it seem they may be broken. the speakers that is.

What ECA said... make sure they don't require external power. Next, make sure you have them plugged in right. If I had $.05 for everytime I had a speaker problem becasue I plugged the source into the microphone port...

VERY true... And I havent seen NONpowered speakers on many computers.. Unless there CHEAP DELLs..
And the first thing that FAILs on any of them is the WIRE...Its TO SMALL...It breaks EASY. give me a NICE 16-18 gauge, NOT 24-36...
