i brought a Hdd a year and a bit ago and after about 6 months the hard drive broke down...i really liked it and want to repair it (its no longer under guarantee)...
i recently spotted a 1.8" toshiba hard drive HDD1422 MK1504GAL 15GB in a local computer hardware shop and i am tempted to buy it...
will it work? and is it hard to install?
thanks alot

pretty easy to install. 4 screws on the outside of the hdd100, need a very small philips head screw driver to open. then there's a couple more screws once u take off the 2 silver side parts.
the hdd is connected by a thin cable, be carefull when handling the cable as u do not want to ruin it.
Putting in a new hdd should do the trick, you will need to re-load the firmware using dmm or the other tools that can do it (don't recall if hddtool or stefano's tool can do firmware)

maybe not. not worth the trouble. I suspect the 1503 may use more power than the one u need. If you can't find 1504GAL, purchasing a MK2004gal would have a very good possibility of working (and upgrade you to 20GB).
