View Full Version : HDD100 not recognized by the computer
Having just received the HDD100 and after installing the DMM, I find that the computer does not recognize the player. It does not show in the widows connection (I have windows XP). Please help.

You may have to check the bios, and see if USB is turned on, and compatible.

Also see a few update, and upgrades, have you installed them??
Did you get a FULL charge on the unit, and I really HOPE you have USB 2..
ALSO, installation of DRIVERS FIRST, on USB devices, works...If you input the HDD, before the drivers, you may have to START OVER..
ALL this has to be done in the supervisor MODE...If there is more then 1 user setup on the system, It probably wont work right..
After 6 hours of sleepless nights trying to get it to work, I just returned it to the shop. Phew! Never again Philips MP3! I'll stick to iaudio and others that I know work the first time.
you still have a 1 in 10,000 chance a NEW device wont work..
