I found this site on a blog the other day, and it looks kinda cool. Theoretically you're supposed to be able to load mp3's and jpegs onto your phone without a data cable or anything. I like the idea, but I hate putting software like this on my computer. Has anyone tried it? www.theringspot.com

Same here, but it looks pretty cool. I'm kinda adverse to putting stuff like this on my pc though, I hate spyware.... I was hoping someone here had used it, anyone anyone?

WELL,
Consider that all those phone numbers and other info on your phone, IF lost(phone) you wont have them anymore. If you break the phone, its the SAME..
And keeping the phone updated, and ANOTHER copy of all your info is a VERY good thing to have..
ANY thing important, I always suggest 3 copies..1 in the device, one on the computer, and 1 HARD COPY(Printed or CD).. You should do it at least 1 time amonth, at least when you add new numbers/data...

wait, so what relavance did that have to the topic? I agree about keeping my stuff saved in 3 locations, but are you saying that this could potentially erase stuff on my phone?

Anything can do a total reset on an item. All it needs is to send 1 code and you LOST it.
And as there are NOW virus for phones and PDA, I would be carefull. This is only sending it via a cell call. Should be alright.

I have seen all kinds of things MESS up, esp, on computers..And someone left all there digital pics from a camera on them. NOT easy to recover, and save the pics or music or anything. Its called FORMAT and restart OR I can sun a progam that takes HOURS to run, and then PRAY.
