I have a T-mobile PocketPC phone which uses the GSM/GPRS networks for use. I would be willing to bet that a lot of people do not know what format their phone uses.

I also have a T-Mobile phone, using the GSM/GPRS system, as well as a Sprint phone which uses CDMA

Have you noticed that even though marketing touts the GPRS always being on, you still have to switch over from the GSM network to "dial" into the GPRS in order to get your e-mail, surf the web or talk on your IM client. Don't get me wrong, GPRS is great, but it would be nice if it truely was "always on" and worked at the same time the GSM network was working with your phone. Then you could be chatting AND checking your e-mail.

GPRS is always on, its just T-Mobile which is making you wait.

I think you know what I mean..... T-Mobile is touting the GPRS as an "always-on" network connection when you do not have a constant connection to it via your phone. That would be like Earthlink advertising their dial-up service as "always-on" like their DSL service is. It is misleading.
I do think it is a step in the right direction, especially here in the US where our wireless networks are behind Europe and Japan.

They need to monitor what you access with the internet, its not like Sprint (which makes you wait also.. those jerks), where you have unlimited access, and can just connect. And yes, I know what you mean ;)
