Well Dan and I just got into Vegas tonight. We will be starting tomorrow off with some press conferences with Sony, Panasonic, and Philips. Looks like there will be a lot more free giveaways during this trip over Comdex. A lot of very cool products too. I am looking forward to the speakers and audio products personally. We will keep you guys updated on our adventure.

Thats funny that you brought up the 1GB SD card. Dan and I were both stunned when they announced that. Apparently its like 1 GB this year, 4Gb next year and by the year 2010 they will have a 16gb card. To me a 1Gb card is huge. Imagine my pocketPC phone with a 1Gb card. I could watch Divx movies on there, store tons of music etc.

Postcard sounds good :D
I've been hearing things about a SDIO Wi-Fi card, that would be great.

What's a SDIO Wi-Fi card?
There are a couple themes to the show I would say. First is the "connected home" theme in which the manufacturer has their television line, computer, cell phone etc... all connected to a central home server in which you can watch videos off your television which are located on your computer. Great idea right? Well unfortunately from what we can tell, all of these systems are proprietary meaning you cannot mix and match manufacturer parts. So if you have a Sony computer, Panasonic TV, Nokia phone, you would not have anything compatible. Make sense?
Well that is just a hint of what we will be writing about.... ;)

Secure Digital Input/Output
I heard they are making a wi-fi card for the secure digital slot
Looking for the link now...
Wi-Fi Secure Digital Card (http://www.palminfocenter.com/view_story.asp?ID=4343)
For Pocket PC users to get 802.11b, they will have to have a CF slot, as there is a wide variety of wi-fi compact flash cards out there, but there are no wi-fi secure digital cards yet. And as most of the newer devices have a secure digital expansion slot, this type of card would be great!

The iPaq 5455 and the Toshiba e740 both have wifi integrated, I hope thats where the industry is going, that'd be spiffy :)

Correct, those models do have thw wifi integrated into them, but I don't think that there is an SDIO wi-fi card out yet. I've been following the discussions about them and no word of the cards yet. Although I could be wrong...
lol anyways, thats one of the reasons I haven't been able to post too much here lately, cause I've been doing lotsa research on which device I want to get....bllahhh
