XBox360 and Media Center extender?

Okay, I don't get it. You have your XBox 360 attached to your TV/stereo. You have your Windows Media PC attached to the same TV/stereo. Why not just throw the tuners in the XBox and have a Windows Media Center application on your WinXP Pro machine? Department of redundancy department anyone?

I guess if you have multiple gaming worthy TVs in your house, but that doesn't sound much like the target audience...

hmm well I don't have a PC connected up to my television, so using the Xbox would be a great idea for me, it acts as an extender. The Xbox is supposed to act as an extender, not a standalone product based on what I have been told.
