Plantronics dps500 headphones VoiP

Hi All

I hope someone can help a non techy female with a noise in my headphones.

I purchased them to use with skype and they do work fine, But they keep beeping at me, a sort of 'di di di' tinkling sound as though something is sending them a signal?

They are USB and I have tried different ports and moving/disconnecting radios, phones, anything I can think of but still they beep!

When on using them to talk I can still hear the noise, but the person I am talking to can't.

Anyone got any ideas what this noise is please and how do I get rid of it?

What kind of headphones are using using? Did you order them from the store of skype?

Well friend, I got a very unusual problem, My laptop's speakers are working fine as well as my headphones & external speakers. They are working fine UNTIL after i use VOIP. Then my headphones and external spearkers are not working. But when i unplug the jack, my laptop's speakers are working perfectly. What's wrong? I tried to restart my computer but it is still the same - no sound from my headphones/external speakers.
